Professor of Urological Oncology
University of Glasgow, United Kingdom
I am currently Professor of Urological Oncology at the CRUK Scotland Institute and the School of Cancer Sciences (SCS) at the University of Glasgow. Work in my laboratory uses cutting-edge in vivo models to interrogate the disease processes in advanced and treatment-resistant prostate cancer.
I am a fellowship-trained Academic Urological Surgeon working in Glasgow, with a special interest in robotic surgery for advanced prostate and bladder cancer. I am now the most experienced and highest volume robotic surgeon in Scotland, and one of the most experienced in the U.K.
I am proud to have successfully set up and trained members of the Robotic Pelvic Cancer Service in the West of Scotland, and trained most of the currently practising robotic urological surgeons in Scotland. As a partnership between NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and the University of Glasgow, the service has delivered a number of practice-changing clinical surgical trials over the last 5-years
