Ferdinando Fusco graduated in Medicine in 1996 at the University Federico II of Naples, Italy, where he also completed his urology residency training. He received in 2006 a doctorate in Urologic Sciences at the university of Palermo and then a post-doctoral fellowship in Functional Urology. He is currently Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Campania “L. Vanvitelli”, Italy and Chief of Urology at the S. Anna and S. Sebastiano Hospital of Caserta.
He has been board member of the European Section of Andrological Urology (ESAU), executive committee member of the European Society of Sexual Medicine (ESSM), scientific board member of the Italian Society of Urology (SIU), he is currently Board member of the Italian Society of Urodynamics.
His main fields of scientific interest are Lower Urinary Tracts Symptoms, Urodynamics, Sexual Dysfunction and Male Infertility. He is actively involved in several preclinical and clinical research protocols in these specialty areas, and his recent research activity is mostly focused on the pathogenesis of BPH and BOO, the common pathophysiology of LUTS and Erectile Dysfunction and the mechanisms of action of drugs on lower urinary tract symptoms.
He is author and co-author of more than 200 full papers in peer-reviewed international journals, and is an editorial board member and peer-reviewer for many scientific journals in the fields of Urology and Andrology.
