Dr. Kenneth J. Palmer is an internationally recognized urologic surgeon and global healthcare strategist specializing in robotic and minimally invasive surgery. He currently serves as Director of Operations at the Global Robotics Institute (GRI) at AdventHealth Celebration, where he oversees clinical innovation, academic development, and international outreach.
In 2025, Dr. Palmer was part of the pioneering team that performed the first telesurgery from the United States to Africa, a landmark initiative that brought robotic prostate surgery to Angola. He helped shape the World Health Organization’s Digital Innovation Investment Platform, contributing strategic input to the development of its telesurgery framework aimed at expanding access to advanced surgical care in underserved regions. He also led the launch of Angola’s National Prostate Cancer Screening Awareness Program, reflecting his long-standing commitment to sustainable, equitable healthcare solutions.
Dr. Palmer is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese, and has operated and lectured in more than 20 countries across five continents. He has supported the development of robotic surgery training programs in Latin America and remains actively engaged in mentoring surgical fellows, residents, and international colleagues. A charter member of the Society of Robotic Surgery, he has played an integral role in the SRS Annual Meeting’s organizing committee since its inception in 2007. His academic output includes over 85 peer-reviewed publications focused on robotic prostatectomy, surgical outcomes, and innovations in nerve-sparing techniques.
