Dr. Jodi Baron, MBBS, is a Registrar in the Department of Paediatric Surgery at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Trinidad and Tobago, and is currently in her fourth year of postgraduate training in paediatric surgery at the University of the West Indies, with a focused interest in paediatric urology.
She is actively engaged in academic and clinical work aimed at improving paediatric surgical care in the Caribbean.
Dr. Baron has presented at several conferences within the Caribbean over the years and has co-authored a paper titled “A Rare Case of Cavernous Malformation of the Cauda Equina,” published in the International Journal of Surgery Case Reports. Her clinical interests include the surgical management of congenital anomalies, minimally invasive techniques in children, and optimizing outcomes in paediatric urological disorders. She is, at this time, conducting research on the use of handheld ultrasound devices in the paediatric urology outpatient setting, with the aim of enhancing diagnostic efficiency and access to care.
