Mohannad Natheef AbuHaweeleh is a sixth-year medical student at Qatar University College of Medicine and a distinguished member of the Honors Program. With a strong record of academic achievement and research excellence, he has emerged as one of the leading student voices in urological research and clinical innovation.
Mr. AbuHaweeleh has been recognized with several prestigious awards. In October 2023, he earned 2nd place in the Basic Science category at the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Clinical Congress in Boston, Massachusetts. He went on to lead the 1st-place project at the College of Medicine Medical Student Research (MSR) Presentation in March 2024, receiving the Core Medical Student Research Dean’s Award. Later, in September 2024, he was awarded 2nd place in the Young Scientist Center Summer Research Internship Program. His active involvement in global professional societies, including the American Urological Association (AUA), European Association of Urology (EAU), Arab Association of Urology (AAU), and the ACS, further reflects his commitment to the surgical community.
Deeply dedicated to advancing the field of urology, particularly in oncology and infectious diseases, Mr. AbuHaweeleh has authored more than 18 publications in high-impact journals. He is also a recipient of the QU Student Grant (2022) and the UREP 30th Cycle Award, and contributes to the scientific community as a peer reviewer for Wiley Clinical Case Reports and the Asian Journal of Urology. His scholarly contributions include more than 20 oral and poster presentations at national, regional, and international conferences.
Complementing his research achievements, Mr. AbuHaweeleh has built a strong clinical foundation, completing over 370 hours of training in urology at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar and Mater Olbia Hospital in Italy. This integration of clinical exposure, research leadership, and academic excellence positions him as a promising future clinician-scientist in the field of urological surgery.
