    M. Carmen Mir, MD, PhD, is a urologic oncologist at Hospital Universitario La Ribera (Valencia-Spain). She specializes in cancer of the kidney, prostate, testicle and bladder. She is a fellow of the European board of Urology and a highly skilled robotic and laparoscopic surgeon. She is a member of the European Association of Urology, Societe International Urologie, American Urologic Association and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

    Dr. Mir graduated from Facultat de Medicina Universitat de Barcelona (Spain). She completed her residency in Urology at Vall d’’Hebron Hospital- Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. She finalized her doctorate in surgery at the same university. Her fellowship training was in Urologic Oncology Fellowship (SUO) at the Cleveland Clinic.

    Dr. Mir received the prestigious LaCaixa scholarship for overseas education. She also serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Urology, European Urology Family Journals, British Journal of Urology International. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Urology, European Urology Open Science and Prostate cancer and prostatic disease.

    Dr. Mir conducts research in the detection and treatment of prostate cancer, minimally invasive surgical approaches to bladder cancer, and the surgical management of renal cell carcinoma.
