    Professor Rajeev T P holds tenure as the Professor and Head, Department of Urology and Renal Transplantation, Gauhati Medical College, Assam, India.
    He undertook his Medical training (MBBS) and Post Graduation in General Surgery (Masters in Surgery) at the same Medical College before specializing in Urology (Master in Chirurgiae-M.Ch) at the premier All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He was the recipient of the Gold Medal for M.Ch ( Urology ) from All-India Institute of Medical Sciences.
    Professor Rajeev has undertaken Fellowship in Endourology, Laparoscopic and Robotic Urology at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA where he is also a Visiting Professor.
    He is an Educator and Supervisor for the Higher specialist training in Urology leading to the M.Ch in Urology for the University of Health Sciences, Assam and also to the various M.Ch and DNB ( Urology ) centers in India. He sits on the panel of Examiners for the M.Ch and DNB Higher specialist training programs in Urology across various Universities in India.
    He holds senior positions for the Government of India, Medical Council of India and the National Board of Examinations, with his portfolio including assessing Urology services in various centers and helping bench marking training quality for Urology in India. He is a member of the Sub Speciality Board in Reconstructive Urology of the National Board of Examinations, Govt of India
    He has had a major role in helping develop the framework for the Government of India’s Ayushman Bharat Scheme (for Urology), thereby improving access to specialist Urological health care for patients who were considered to be below the poverty line. This program helped bridge the divide between accessibility to healthcare balancing with the availability and provision of healthcare; utilizing the capacity in the private sector but with minimizing cost under this scheme.
    He is an enthusiastic innovator believing in using technology and low-cost modifications to help improve health care delivery, reducing morbidity and mortality and developing simulation for training through his Faculty role with Uro medical Technology, Training and Simulation and cadaveric programs of the Indian School of Urology.
    Professor Rajeev was instrumental in forming the Youth Wing ( YOU ) of the Urological Society of India during his tenure as Secretary General. Now this Youth wing is the back bone of the Urological Society of India. Further, he has started an exclusive section for Women Urologists of India during the annual congress of Urological Society of India which has created an overwhelming enthusiasm among the female Urologists.
    Professor Rajeev T P has published over 120 peer reviewed articles and has been an invited Speaker to more than 15 International organizations. He is currently the President, Urological Society of India; Scientific Co Chair, Societe Internationale d’Urologie and also the Secretary General , South Asian Association of Urological Surgeons
    Above all, Professor Rajeev is a well known cricketer and he has represented the University cricket, State Schools and the Assam state in Ranji Trophy and won lot of accolades.
