    Biography of Prof Tohid Mohammad Saiful Hossain


    Professor Dr Tohid Mohammad Saiful Hossain is currently working as Professor of Urology and Renal Transplant Surgery at Bangladesh Medical University(BMU), Dhaka, Bangladesh . He holds an MBBS, MS (Urology), FCPS ( Surgery), and FACS (USA).He did his fellowship in minimal invasive urology and transplant urology in MPUH, Nadiad, India and got advanced training in urology in USA, Singapor and India. He practices in the field of Urology and specializes in minimally invasive Urology (Endourology & Laparoscopic Urology), Kidney Transplantation Surgery & has special interest in Mini PCNL,RIRS, Bipolar TUERP, Enbloc TURBT, Laparoscopic adrenalectomy, Nephrectomy and Nephroureterectomy, Donor nephrectomy, reconstructive urology such as BMG Urethroplasty, Functional Urology, and Men’s Health.

    He is the author of more than 40 publications nationally and internationally. Professor Tohid is an international member of AUA, EAU ,SIU, world Endourology society , SAUS ,UAA , USI , SASSAM & ISSM, USTRS .

    He was formerly the secretary general and vice-presidient of Bangladesh Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS);Scientific committee member of the SAARC assosiation of urological surgeons(SAUS) and currently serves as the Scientific Secretary of Society of Organ Transplantation of Bangladesh, Member Secretary of Training Accreditation Committee of Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. Professor Tohid has attended many symposiums and workshops as a faculty member both nationally and internationally; most of where he presented his scientific papers.
