Dr. Suraj Anil Suchak, MS, MCh (Urology) is a consultant urologist based in Mumbai with a subspecialty focus on minimally invasive and laparoscopic urology. He practices at Lilavati Hospital, Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital, Karuna Hospital, Namaha Hospital and Suchak Hospital. Dr. Suchak completed his M.Ch. (Urology) at the Institute of Nephro-Urology, Bangalore, following an M.S. (General Surgery) from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and an MBBS from K.J. Somaiya Medical College, Mumbai. He has pursued advanced training through the Belgian Laparoscopic Urological Group fellowship, observership in endourology and holmium laser surgery under Prof. Olivier Traxer (Paris), and a short-term fellowship under Dr. Gunter Janetschek (Salzburg).
Clinically, he is proficient in laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, partial/radical nephrectomy, pyeloplasty, ureteral reimplantation and endoscopic stone surgery (RIRS). Dr. Suchak’s contributions have been recognised with the Dr. Dilip Addappa Best Paper Award (KUACON 2011) and the Olympus International Travelling Fellowship (2012). He was a Council Member of the Uro-Oncology Section, Urological Society of India (2023–2025) and is regularly invited to national urology meetings.
In addition to his operative practice, he mentors urologists in laparoscopic and endourologic techniques through case-based collaboration, workshops and proctorships.
