Physician Assistant
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, United States
I am a physician assistant (PA) specializing in prostate cancer active surveillance at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). I have a history in laboratory research in the hematologic oncology tissue bank at MSK as well as within clinical research as a research study assistant for pediatric bone marrow transplants. 2015-2018, I attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences where I obtained a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. Upon completion of my studies I worked for NY Presbyterian as part of the inpatient multispecialty surgery team which included covering the Urology service. I became passionate about urologic oncology and returned to MSK to further specialize in Urology and specifically prostate cancer.
My current work involves ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and radiologic imaging to evaluate prostate cancer. I am specially trained to perform transperineal fusion prostate biopsies. This type of biopsy precisely targets specific areas on the prostate using ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). I work with patients independently and in collaboration with MSK urologists and oncologists. Together, we provide expert care for patients who are under prostate cancer surveillance, surgery, or participating in a clinical trial. I am privileged and honored to be part of this phenomenal team of surgeons, nurses, and technicians.
