    Dr.Çalık was born in Istanbul, Turkey. After finishing his medical training at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 2005, the same year he started his urology residency at Cemil Tascioglu City Hospital(former Istanbul Okmeydani Training and Research Hospital) 1st Urology Clinic. He finished the residency in 2011 and after compulsory state services, he started to work in Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine Department of Urology. He was appointed to the assistant professorship in 2020 and he continues his academic studies and medical practice in the same university. He performed a Uro-andrology observership at McGill Univ., Montreal, Canada from March to April 2023. He is a member of many professional societies and works as a team co-leader in the Global Andrology Forum(GAF). Other than general urology, his focus areas of work are Andrology, prostate fusion biopsies, and prostate cancer focal therapies.
