Dr. Hariharan Ganapathi is a fellowship-trained urologist specializing in minimally invasive and robotic surgery for complex kidney stone disease and urologic cancers. He earned his medical degree from Madras Medical College and completed his residency in General Surgery and Urology at PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. Dr. Ganapathi then completed a three-year fellowship in Endourology and Robotic Urology at the Global Robotics Institute in Florida, under the mentorship of internationally renowned robotic surgeon Dr. Vipul Patel.
Since 2018, Dr. Ganapathi has been actively involved in academic medicine, contributing to the training of urology residents and fellows. At the University of Florida, Jacksonville, he established both the mini-PCNL and supine PCNL programs. In 2022, he joined USF Urology to help develop and expand the USF Kidney Stone Center of Excellence.
Dr. Ganapathi’s clinical interests include kidney stone disease, robotic surgery for prostate, renal, and bladder cancers, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare. He is committed to improving patient outcomes through innovative, safe, and effective surgical approaches.
