Senior Resident, Urology
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, India
I am Dr Bharath R, Senior Resident in Urology at JIPMER, Puducherry. I completed my MBBS and MS in General Surgery with academic awards at SURGICON. I have presented at FUSICON 2025 and SZUSICON, focusing on clinically relevant urological topics.
My interests include stone disease management and urethroplasty, with current research on improving surgical outcomes. I am keen on minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic reconstructive urology, aiming to optimise functional results in complex cases.
At JIPMER, I am involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, audits, and evidence-based clinical practice. I prioritise precision, efficiency, and patient-centric care while integrating evolving technology in surgery.
My goal is to pursue fellowship training in reconstructive urology and advanced stone disease to contribute to academic urology in India. Outside work, I enjoy playing cricket and staying updated on surgical innovations to refine my practice continually.
