Pro. LIU is a Chief Physician and Chief Director of the Department of Urology at
Beijing Hospital, and a Professor of Department of Medicine at Beijing Hospital.
Professor Liu is a leading expert in urologic oncology with over 25 years of clinical
and academic experience. He specializes in the minimally invasive and
multidisciplinary management of advanced and treatment-refractory genitourinary
malignancies, with a particular focus on precision diagnosis and personalized
treatment of complex prostate cancer. He currently chairs the Prostate Cancer
Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) at Beijing Hospital.
His research interests encompass image-guided and precision biopsy techniques,
advanced imaging for prostate cancer diagnosis, clinical trials and translational
research, genomic profiling, biomarker development, tumor immunotherapy, and
biomaterial innovations in urologic oncology. Professor Liu is actively engaged in
population-based prostate cancer screening initiatives in the Dongcheng and
Fengtai Districts of Beijing, and is spearheading efforts to establish large-scale
clinical cohorts and a comprehensive clinical data platform for prostate cancer
research and management.
Professor Liu has led and participated in numerous multicenter clinical trials,
investigator-initiated studies, and national research projects, including several
funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has
authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications, and serves as an international panel
reviewer for the NCCN Prostate Cancer Guidelines.
He currently holds several key academic appointments, including Executive
Committee Member of the Chinese Urological Association (CUA), and is an active
member of its Oncology Section, Basic Research Group, and International Exchange
Committee
