Dr Anant kumar is presently Chairman of Department of Urology, Robotics and Kidney Transplantation at Max Superspeciality hospital, Saket, New Delhi. He was Professor and Chairman of Urology and kidney Transplantation programme at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow and Consultant Urologist, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge UK.
He had done his postgraduate training at PGIMER, Chandigarh and medical schooling from KGMC Lucknow. he was best graduate and best postgraduate. He had also won many gold medals during medical college. He was awarded many fellowships like ISN fellowship for kidney Tx at Monash medical center, Melbourne, International fellowship of Cleveland Clinic for Reno vascular hypertension, Chakraverty fellowship at John Hopkins Baltimore USA. Urodynamic fellowship at Harlev hospital, Copenhagen and Ham green Hospital Bristol. He had been visiting professor to many universities of USA, Denmark, UK, Switzerland and many national universities and institution.
He has published over 250 papers in various national and international journals. I have also written few book chapters and invited review articles.
He has trained many fellows and residents who are now running successful academic programs in many countries.
He is currently Chairman of Robotic society of India. He was the secretary and Past president of Indian Society of Organ Transplantation. He was also Past President of Urological Society of India, NZ- USI and Indian Society of Organ Transplantation.
I was also a council member of Asian Society Transplantation and Indian Science Society. He is a member of many societies like USI, NZ-USI, ISOT, AUA, SIU, BAUS, AST, ITS, ISPD and IMS.
He has special interest in kidney transplantation, laparoscopic and robotic surgery and uro-oncology
