Michael Grasso III, received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Medicine in Philadelphia, completing his Surgery and Urology residency training at Jefferson in 1992. While in Philadelphia he worked closely with Dr. Demetrius Bagley, developing broad academic interests in minimally invasive surgery and Urologic Oncology, advancing the field of Endourology by developing many minimally invasive therapies, advanced instrumentation, with significant contributions to the literature. He served as Assistant and Associate Professor of Urology at Loma Linda University in Southern California, Professor of Urology with tenure at New York University in Manhattan, and since 2001 he has been Professor of Urology with tenure at New York Medical College. He is also currently Director of Urology at Phelps Medical Center in Sleepy Hollow New York, Director of an Endourology fellowship-training program since 1999, while also stewarding basic science research in renal oncology and physiology and with Thambi Dorai Ph.D at Northwell Health.
